Horton Park and the adjacent Colby Crossing subdivision is a mixed-use project under construction in Apex’s Middle Creek area. An area known for the lack of adequate public infrastructure, Horton Park solved the riddle with the extension of Jessie Drive, a looped network of public water mains, and construction of the Middle Creek Regional Pump Station and outfall. The mixed-use project provides various opportunities with zoning approval for 700+ residential units including single-family detached, townhomes, and apartments; 27 acres of Light Industrial properties; and 19 acres of Tech-Flex property. Peak collaborated with the builder, Town staff, and various other professionals to spearhead the project from the initial concept and zoning through to design approval and the start of residential construction in 2023. With major infrastructure improvements required, Peak worked with the client to sequence and monitor the project through construction to limit project delays.
